Types of Data Analytics
The analysis begins with data collection and systematization. Then it’s processed according to various methods, derivations of patterns between objects, their groups, and factors affecting them are discovered.
Information analytics is used in research and development activities, as well as in technical development, programming, and, of course, production and trading activities (that is, business). The typology of data analysis methods proposed by Jeffrey T. Leek includes six methods: descriptive, exploratory, inferential, predictive, causal, and mechanistic.
Taken together, these types of data analytics allow deriving the causes of certain events, characterize current facts, and predict further changes. One-dimensional and multidimensional techniques are also used to systematize data and find links between them. And for automated information analysis and visualization of the results obtained, computer programs are used.
